Dr. Rekha Sharma is working, as Associate
Professor
in Academic Staff College, is basically a research
scholar. Having received Ph.D. in Foods and
Nutrition from Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur
University, she continued her research and has so
for been able to publish 26 research papers in
National and international Journals, and presented
25 research papers in the conferences four of them
being rewarded the best research papers. A. Prolific
writer, her book on wheat germ has been highly
appreciated. A sagacious guide, as she is one
student has been awarded Ph.D. under her guidance
and five more students are on their away to complete
the research. Beginning her career as a lecturer in
Institute of Hotel Management and Catering
Technology, she became the Principal of Tuli College
of Hotel Management where she has left her imprints
as reliable administrator and a noble teacher. A
faculty in the Post Graduate Teaching department of
Home Science, Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur
University, L.A.D. and S.R.P. College of Women, she
has vast experience of 18 years of teaching. Not
only an academician but Dr. Rekha Sharma has also
worked, as a part of her social commitments, in
UNICEF projects on Nutrition, Health Education,
Environmental Sanitation and Mother & Child Health
Care, and Nutrition Awareness Programmes for school
children and women. She has been appointed as
President of Nutrition Society of India (Nagpur
Chapter) for the year 2010-2011. |
